The original Wantirna kitchen featured dated reddish timber cabinetry, ageing appliances and a compact U-shaped layout that limited both storage and workflow. Heavy timber tones and the enclosed configuration reduced natural light, making the space feel smaller and visually crowded.

While structurally sound, the kitchen lacked the brightness, efficiency and contemporary appeal needed for modern family living, prompting a complete redesign to open up the space and introduce a lighter, more timeless aesthetic.

The kitchen was completely reimagined into a light-filled, modern classic space that feels open, refined and highly functional for everyday family living. White shaker cabinetry, stone benchtops and a glossy herringbone splashback create a crisp, timeless foundation, while brushed brass tapware and hardware introduce warmth and subtle elegance throughout.

The redesigned U-shaped layout improves flow between cooking, preparation and cleaning zones, with generous bench space and integrated storage enhancing daily practicality. A seamless connection to the adjoining dining and laundry areas further opens the home, allowing natural light to travel freely and creating a cohesive, spacious environment.
