Home Renovation With Internal Layout Redesign
Soft Luxe Sanctuary is a complete Brighton East home renovation focused on improving functionality, circulation, and everyday liveability across both levels of the home. Rather than extending the footprint, the project centred on intelligent internal reconfiguration—relocating and reshaping existing zones to create new space, improve spatial efficiency, and deliver a refined contemporary aesthetic while respecting the original structure of the home.

BEFORE

Kitchen Renovation
A U-Shaped Kitchen Built for Daily Function

The original L-shaped kitchen was redesigned into a U-shaped layout, improving workflow, storage, and bench space. This kitchen renovation strengthened the kitchen’s role as the central living hub, offering a more practical cooking zone and a visually streamlined design that suits modern Brighton East homes.

Butler’s Kitchen + Concealed Laundry Integration
To support everyday living and entertaining, the existing laundry was converted into a butler’s kitchen, creating a dedicated preparation and service area. A new built-in laundry was then created beneath the staircase and accessed via the downstairs bathroom, allowing essential functions to remain discreet while improving overall usability.

Bathroom Renovation
Smarter Planning, More Comfort
The downstairs bathroom was fully redesigned to increase comfort and efficiency. By incorporating the existing fridge recess into the shower zone, the layout gained a more generous shower space without major structural work. This thoughtful bathroom renovation delivered a clean, contemporary wet area that feels open, practical, and refined.
Upper Level Transformation
New Master Suite, Extra Bathroom & Improved Flow
Upstairs, the home was thoughtfully reconfigured to maximise comfort, functionality, and long-term liveability. The existing upstairs retreat was converted into a second master bedroom, creating a private and flexible space ideal for growing families or multi-generational living. One guest bedroom was also reallocated to form a large walk-in robe (WIR), significantly improving storage and enhancing the overall practicality of the upper level. Alongside these changes, the existing ensuite and walk-in robe zone were renovated and partially reconfigured to create an additional bathroom, improving circulation and daily convenience while ensuring consistency in finishes and detailing across all wet areas.

Finishing Touches
Painting & Floorboard Refinishing
To unify the entire renovation, all internal spaces were repainted in a refined, contemporary colour palette that enhances natural light and creates a cohesive feel throughout the home. Existing hardwood floorboards were sanded and refinished with a water-based coating, restoring warmth and delivering a durable, low-sheen foundation that seamlessly connects the updated spaces with the home’s original character.
